EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum
About
EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum is a unique insight into Ireland’s history and culture.
At the start of your journey, you’ll receive a stamped passport as you enter the exhibition to travel through the 20 themed galleries exploring, engaging and connecting with Irish history and culture.
You will discover that the essence of being Irish extends far beyond Ireland’s borders through the stories of Irish emigrants who became notable scientists, politicians, poets, artists, and even outlaws all over the world. Discover Ireland from the outside in and understand why saying, “I’m Irish,” sparks conversations everywhere.
The museum was founded on the belief that emigration is one of the most interesting ways to fully understand a country. As you uncover the stories of Irish emigrants, you’ll realise that emigration is not about what people leave behind but what they bring with them. You can also explore your Irish ancestry at the Irish Family History Centre (IFHC), located within EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum, where you can access valuable records, consult with genealogy experts, and join an online community dedicated to discovering Irish roots.
The Irish Emigration Museum brings these amazing stories to life in an EPIC way!
