Ring of Kerry

View of Skellig Islands from Kerry

About

Often described as the most beautiful part of Ireland, no visit to the Kingdom of Kerry is complete without a tour of this spectacular driving route. Be wowed by incredible scenery with endless photo opportunities as you wind your way along the 179km (111 miles) loop.

The Ring of Kerry route starts and finishes in Killarney. If possible check the weather forecast in advance as rain and mist will undoubtedly take from the experience so try to plan accordingly. The Ring of Kerry takes in the towns and villages of Killarney, Kenmare, Sneem, Caherdaniel, Waterville, Cahirciveen, Kells, Glenbeigh and Killorglan. You can do the trip in a day but of course, if time is not a factor, it is well worthwhile taking time out to further explore amazing destinations such as Killarney National Park, The Gap of Dunloe, The Skellig Ring – to name but a few.

Be inspired by some of the best beaches in the country such as Rossbeigh, Derrynane, Castlecove, St. Finian’s Bay and Kells Beach.

Our favourite stops include The Skellig Chocolate Experience (we do love chocolate) and the best fish and chips in Portmagee – there’s a bit of a theme emerging here!! Whatever takes your fancy, you are guaranteed a great day out!
