About

A welcoming destination at the heart of the heritage village of Adare.

Adare Heritage Centre is located in the heart of one of the most picturesque villages in Ireland. Situated in County Limerick and in close proximity to the Wild Atlantic Way, this heritage village is renowned for its beauty, as pretty as a scene from a picture postcard, where traditional thatched cottages meet ancient stone walls. Adare Heritage Centre is at the beating heart of this community, offering visitors an exciting range of facilities for the past 30 years, from its anchor site on the main street of the village.

The Centre is a convenient coffee stop location for transient visitors passing through the village but equally as popular with local people alike. Customers can browse the beautiful local craft shops or dine in the onsite Dovecote restaurant, which is open daily serving breakfast, lunch and afternoon snacks. A comprehensive menu offers wholesome dishes, freshly prepared sandwiches and homemade desserts, teas and coffees.
Facilities include public toilets, baby changing area, shopping, dining, ample free parking and wheelchair accessibility. There is something for everyone at Adare Heritage Centre and a warm céad míle fáilte awaits you when you visit the centre.

Guided Tours of Adare’s Desmond Castle are available from the centre. Pre-booking is advised, and tours run from June to September. Historical Walking Tours of Adare Village are also available. This guided tour, led by trained guides is one of the most informative, enjoyable and time saving ways to explore the village.
