The New Golden Ireland
It's no secret that Golden Ireland has gone through some changes in recent months, but if indeed you've missed this news or haven't had a chance to browsing the website lately you may be asking yourself "what's new?".
Firstly, we need to take a moment to show our appreciation to the magnificent work over the years to Geraldine McGlynn and the great job she did building Golden Ireland. A remarkably hardworking lady who build a magnificent company that was more than just a job, she gained a loyal following and many friends along the way, who we hope will trust us with their Irish holiday.
Since our take over in October there have been some major and some minor changes, so this is the perfect opportunity to take you through them. Golden Ireland's core focus remains the same, with a dedication to providing great value holidays in Ireland for the over 60s senior travel deals around. However there are some changes;
Hotels
The selection of hotels listed on the website has changed some what. We now offer over fifty Failte Ireland approved 3-,4- and 5-star hotels around the country. We have carefully chosen our hotels knowing they are the right fit for your stay. Hotels include the likes of the amazing 5 star Castlemartyr Resort, Lough Eske Castle, amazing value stays at the like of Clonakilty Park Hotel, Treacy's Hotel Waterford to name a couple, centrally located hotels like Cassidy's Hotel in Dublin City, Waterford Marina Hotel, The Talbot Hotel in Wexford town. Hotel Offers for the over 60s
Our team have carefully negotiated a selection of special offers for the over 60s Irish getaway, at prices we guarantee you won't beaten. Offerings include 2, 3 and 4 night stays and range from senior Bed and Breakfast deals at rock bottom prices to Bed and Breakfast with dinner and a host of complimentary extras such as tea/coffee & scones on arrival, early check-in/late check-out, a free glass of wine, lunches, bedroom upgrades, to name a few.
All breaks are minimum 2 night stay midweek deals from Sunday to Thursday.
Booking a Stay
When booking a stay you may notice your journey looks a little different. You will no longer visit the hotel's website to book, instead you will now be able to book an exclusive Golden Ireland deal on our website. To guarantee your deal at the best possible price you will be required to pay a deposit at the time of booking. The remainder of the balance will be paid on your arrival to the hotel.
Cancelling your Stay
In the unfortunate event that you need to cancel your stay there are a number of ways to manage this. We are delighted to provide you with a Manage Booking option where you can view and cancel you booking. You can also contact our customer care team (read more below).
Customer Care
Golden Ireland does come with a dedicated customer care team, they will be delighted to help you out with choosing, booking or indeed cancelling a hotel stay. Please find more information here.
Group Tours
We know how much many of you loved your tours of Ireland, or have visited Golden Ireland with the view of booking one in the future. We are delighted to say we are currently working on building our tour offering for 2025 and hope to have options available for late Summer / Autumn tours.
